eZeeScroller FAQs

1. The scroller works fine in all browsers but fails to scroll in Netscape 4.

Make sure you have no styles applied directly to the content layers. The styles are not on the DIV itself, rather are fully qualified with an ID Selector in a <style> tag and must be this way in order to function in the Netscape 4 series of browsers.

What causes this to happen to the scroller usually is by moving any of the content layers around in Dreamweaver design view either with your mouse or by selecting the layer and using the Property Inspector to change any of the content divs values.

FIX: Remove the styles from the content divs.

If you want to alter any attribute if the content layers you should always use the Dreamweaver CSS Panel to do so.

1. When using the Ticker option the content layer flashes into view before starting the correct ticking position.

This occurs because the content layer is displaying at its given default position before the script has a chance to use the offsets you have set in the Scroller Controls interface. This can be easily remedied by setting the content layers position to the width or height of the scroller.

Do not (never) position the "content" layers by hand or by using the Property Inspector in design view. You must use the Dreamweaver CSS Panel to do this.

FIX: Horizontal Scroller - In the Dreamweaver CSS Panel set the content layers "left" position to the width of the scroller.

FIX: Vertical Scroller -In the Dreamweaver CSS Panel set the content layers "top" position to the height of the scroller.
