Print Section of Page
The PrintSection Behavior is a very handy utility that allows you to print sections of your page, be it either a single paragraph, or a complete content div.
How it works
How it works is any div that has an "id" can be targeted with the PrintSection from any link or image. Apply the behavior to the link, and target any div on the page with an "id". When clicked, a new window will open that contains only the content inside of the targeted div.
Features
- Print Page Header. Contains an optional header for the print page. This may be your company logo, section specific information related to the content being printed, or whatever is deemed necessary. The header area can be text or valid HTML snippets.
- Print Page Footer. Contains an optional footer for the print page. This could be copyright information, additional disclaimers, etc... The footer area can be text or valid HTML snippets.
- Print Immediately. If this option is checked, the print dialog box will open when the user clicks the link to print the section. If left unchecked, the printable page will open allowing them to initiate the printing.
- CSS Stylesheet Link. You can attach your own stylesheet for the printable page from the PrintSection interface. If multiple links are on the same page, ach link can have its own stylesheet associated with it. The stylesheet can be used to style the content being printed, and as well the optional header & footer areas if used.
