eZeeGallery Photo Quick Guide
The User Guide is complete and will guide you through the complete operation
of the eZeeGallery. We have created this quick guide for a reference on
the basics of creating a gallery. This quick guide will get you up and running
quickly however it does not cover adding captions or edits to the gallery
once inserted. Refer to the appropriate section of the gallery for more
information on the additional options.
There are 2 methods to create a gallery.
- Insert into existing webpage
- Create gallery page and all assets automatically.
- You need a defined site for both methods.
- You need a folder of full size images already in the site. This folder can be anywhere in your site.
METHOD 1 ( Insert into existing webpage )
Note: This page can be a normal HTML document
with an extension of .htm and can be previewed locally. No test server
or the need to upload the files to preview the gallery locally.
- Open the page you wish to insert the gallery into.
- Place the cursor where you wish the gallery to be inserted.
- Open the eZeeGallery interface.
- Browse to your full size images folder.
- At this point the default settings will work for the rest of the options, or you may change them.
- Check the "Run Fireworks" option to create the thumbnails.
- Press the OK button.
- Allow Fireworks to run and finish.
Note: If you have already created the thumbnails
in Fireworks it is not necessary to run Fireworks each time you make an
edit to the gallery.
You are finished creating the gallery.
METHOD 2 ( Choosing a predefined Theme )

- Browse to the folder in your site where you wish the gallery page to be created.
- At this point the default settings will work for the rest of the options, or you may change them.

You are finished creating the gallery.
LINKING TO THE GALLERY
You "can" link directly to the gallery page. Refer to the eZeeGallery
Links interface for more info on using multiple folders.
Upload All Files
Upload the following...
- The gallery page that was created in the folder you chose or inserted the gallery into.
- The ezeegallery_assets folder in the root of your site.
- The full images folder. The newly created thumbnails will have been created inside this folder.
- The page from which to link to the gallery.
Those are the basics of a simple operational pass of the interfaces. Everything
is editable. You can return to the Main interface and make changes to any
of the options.
Note: Any time a change is made to the gallery,
excepting the images, the ezeegallery_assets folder and the gallery page
should be uploaded again to reflect the changes.
Note: Once the images have been processed it
is not necessary to upload them again, unless new images have been added
to the folder
