The Bloom Gallery can be configured in either Horizontal or Vertical fashion form the extension. You may also drag the bloom layers to wherever you wish on the page to divide the gallery into sections. They don't have to be side by side.

This example demonstrates the "Top to Bottom" blooming effect. It is one of 3 options selectable from the interface.
